Purpose of the Position/ Role Summary:
Reporting to the European Exports Manager, the Export Sales Specialist supports international sales by supporting key accounts and handling administrative tasks. This hybrid role involves managing customer relationships, assisting with sales administration, supporting export logistics and ensuring seamless communication between the sales team, customers and shipping. The ideal candidate is organised, detail-oriented and knowledgeable about pharmaceutical exports.
Key Role Specific Requirements:
Sales and Account Management:
- Provide administrative support to the Export Manager, Commercial Director and wider sales team during travel or high-demand periods including compiling reports and handling communications and assisting with travel plans
- Attend and contribute to sales meetings, supply chain meetings and customer service team meetings to support sales efforts and ensure alignment across departments.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key international customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Keep the Export Sales schedule and forecasts up to date, ensuring accurate projections for sales and shipments.
- Compile and issue regular sales reports, including month-end reports, stock levels and any other metrics as requested.
- Contact customers regarding outstanding payments, overdue amounts and any financial queries or discrepancies.
Customer Service and Support:
- Respond to customer queries via phone and email in a prompt, professional manner, providing effective solutions.
- Manage customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as QAD and/or Salesforce, ensuring all customer data, orders, credit notes and product price lists are accurately maintained.
- Act as the principal contact for customer inquiries related to product specifications, order status and packaging details.
- Assist customers with ACR development, mock-ups, and print proofing/approval as required.
General Administration and Ad Hoc Support:
- Document customer service-related activities and ensure records are up-to-date and compliant with company standards.
- Support customer service colleagues in their absence, ensuring continuity of service across the Export and Ireland teams.
- Process sales orders, maintain export schedules and update forecasts.
- Handle courier mail for customer service and other departments as needed.
Perform other ad hoc activities and administrative tasks as required by the business.

Other Requirements:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Animal Health, Ag Science or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in exports, sales, or customer service, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of export documentation and regulations.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
Desirable:
- Experience in the veterinary pharmaceutical or agriculture industries
